Nora is a practicing paediatric neurologist at St John Hospital, Budai Children`s Hospital-Clinic in Budapest, and completed a placement with Professor Horvath funded by a fellowship of the European Paediatric Neurology Society. Her work contributes to improving the understanding of the disease burden of consanguineous marriages, looking specifically at inherited neurological disease cases in Turkey with the aim to improve genetic diagnosis for these severe paediatric conditions. By correlation genotype and phenotype, Nora aims to find novel disease-causative genetic variants within known disease-gene in addition to identifying potential new disease-associated genes.
Nora took her first clinical position at the Department of Pediatrics, University of Szeged, Hungary in 2005. She completed her Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor Laszlo Sztriha at the Doctoral School of Clinical Medicine, Szeged in 2012.
