
Benson Chen is a Clinical Research Fellow in the Cambridge Eye Unit, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, and a PhD student in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences. He is supported by the Royal Society of New Zealand, the Cambridge Trust, and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Benson completed his medical degree from the University of Auckland in 2011 and then undertook clinical training in neurology in Auckland, New Zealand. This was supplemented by subspecialty training in neuro-ophthalmology at Emory Eye Center in Atlanta, GA, USA. His research focuses on inherited optic neuropathies and the experience of individuals living with LHON and DOA.
