There are just over 4,200 postdocs working in Cambridge, of which 3,200 are employed directly by the University and 1,000 are employed as Junior Research Fellows by the Colleges, the University Partner Institutes, or funded by external fellowships.
They make up more than 35% of total University staff and they are the fastest growing staff group. They are also the most diverse staff group by nationality, coming to Cambridge from over 95 countries around the world.
This is an exciting community to be part of and there are a number of groups who can help you and your family to settle in, build a social network and get involved with the life of the University.
Visit the Postdoc Community webpages for further information which is on the Postdoc Academy site.
