Giorgos is a Research Associate working on the BEARS project (Both Ears virtual acoustics training package for bilateral cochlear implant users).
He is also working as a Clinical Trial Manager at the Southampton Clinical Trials Unit.
He has previously worked with Professor Doris Bamiou at UCL Ear Institute on a large EU project looking at use of hearing-aid big data to inform public health policies for hearing loss.
For his PhD, Giorgos developed and validated a questionnaire to measure music experiences and their impact on the quality of life in adults cochlear implant users.
He has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Linguistics and he has also worked on speech perception in normal-hearing adults listening through cochlear implant simulations.
Giorgos’ research interests include: telehealth, patient-reported outcomes, qualitative research and public policy.
